Networking Evening Wednesday 14th December
A new initiative to support people looking to develop a hobby into a small business as well as those who have already made the first steps in doing so, has recently been launched in Bakewell.
Hosted by the Bakewell Town & Community Trust the Peaks and Dales Business Network allows people to develop new business contacts and provides opportunity, if they wish, to talk to others about their business. It can also provide useful contacts with business support and development initiatives focused on the Peak District.
With the emphasis on making people feel welcome and relaxed, attendance is free but a small contribution towards snacks and refreshments is appreciated. Interest has been shown in the Network from people both within and beyond the Peak and Dales with wide-ranging interests and ideas for business development and promotion.
An opportunity is being provided at each event for a local business to be showcased. These have varied from making celebration cakes to waste wood briquettes and web development and design.
The Network meets monthly at Bakewell Town Hall. The next event will be on Wednesday, 14 December from 5.30pm to 7pm.
Our guest speaker for the evening will be Simon Fussell of Step Change Management Solutions and the business of the month for December will be Mad4Ink
