Bakewell Branch is one of fourteen working branches within Derbyshire County.
It meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm in Bakewell Town Hall from April to December and at Hoyle Court during January, February and March.
Our meetings are varied with speakers, demonstrations etc.
Membership of Bakewell Branch costs at the present £7.00 per annum. We charge an entry fee of £2.00 per meeting which covers your raffle and a cup of coffee/tea and biscuits. We also hold a Christmas social evening, a cheese and wine evening and this year (2011) we are having a pudding club night. If this is a success then we hope it will be held every year.
We attend all County events, the Group Get-together, County Purse Presentation, County Conference and Carol Service. This year the County Conference is being held at Bakewell Town Hall, the first time in many years.
We desperately need another Standard Bearer as we have both a Branch Standard and a Union Jack and it would be superb if someone could step forward who was willing to carry one or the other, as both have not been on parade for many years.
Further information can be obtained from Mrs A Swift, Branch Secretary (01629 813925) or Mrs L Pheasey, Branch Treasurer (01629 813820).
