Our journey begins…

Well, this is all new for us here at BTH. I’ve been in place for about nine months now, and I’ve met all our lovely users and learnt a bit about the town. Slowly, out of the fog has formed a germ of an idea, a bit blobby as yet, but focusing slowly.

Why are we here?

Looking around this amazing building we got to thinking about why it’s here, and what it is for. Well, in short, it is for the people of Bakewell, it’s the centre of the town, and its history is littered with good nights-out, family memories and dances long into the night. So many of the people that I have met have stories of their first dance, the first time they trod the boards.

Our future…

This is our starting point; this is what we want to revive, nurture and pass on long into the future. For us to do this, we need to grow, to change what we do, how we do it and what it is that we offer. But for all the fine ideas and the big dreams, we need you; your support, your encouragement and your involvement.  Get involved, and help us deliver the Town Hall that the town deserves.
